Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng Inc. has achieved a striking milestone with its vehicle deliveries in the first quarter of 2025. The company delivered between 91,000 and 93,000 vehicles, showcasing a remarkable increase from the same period in 2024. Year-to-date figures reflect a 313% surge compared to the prior year, highlighting XPeng’s robust growth in the EV sector.
Supporting this growth, XPeng has introduced more affordable SUV models—specifically the G6 and G9—equipped with their Turing AI smart driving system at no extra charge. The expansion doesn’t stop there; XPeng is set to venture into new European markets, including Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, thanks to agreements with distributors Inchcape and Hedin. Reuters reported that these strategic initiatives have positively impacted XPeng's financial performance, with the company seeing a 52.1% increase in vehicle deliveries and revenues reaching 16.11 billion yuan for the fourth quarter ending December 2024.
As XPeng scales its operations, the company is aiming to double its deliveries by the end of 2025, targeting around 380,000 vehicles while also seeking to achieve financial break-even. These aggressive strategies and market expansions underscore XPeng’s commitment to establishing a strong foothold in the global EV market.
